Seriously, how will Android be able to compete against RIM and Nokia now? We all know how the lack of Flash support made the iPhone and iPad fail so badly. Of course only 7% of Android phones have been upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich so maybe the impact will be negligble. Who doesn’t want to own a phone with a crippled OS 3-4 years old? Evidently 93% of Android owners are okay with it. Cuz you know, unobtainable almost openness rules.

I have vacation this week and I am excited to walk a few blocks from my house and see pro bike racing. I might have to go back to Uptown for Friday’s criterium. Sunday’s finale is the toughest course in U.S. cycling in Stillwater, MN. The Chilkoot hill is killer and they have to ride it 20 times. Masochists! There is also an early morning time trial on the East Mississippi River Parkway but I can’t get up by 8am to get there by 9am for the start.

We try not to lose sight of the fact that we are lucky enough to have the ability to engage in a recreational endeavor where we can inflict suffering on ourselves and derive reward according to our whims.
