More Minneapolis greatness from the late ’80s. The Bastards may have been the angriest band in the history of music.

Misery has broken up after an almost 30 year run as crust punk legends. They played one of their first shows in my basement at the 26th and Pillsbury house. 300 people, 10+ kegs (liquor store stayed open after hours so we could keep buying kegs) what’s not to love?

Mpls crust punk legends. Members formed Profane Existence and one became a professional road bike racer.

The Minneapolis anti-racist Code 13 not the FL bonehead version.

Who doesn’t love an all bass band?

I love Minneapolis/St Paul bike culture. It is about way more than bikes. Music provided by the Eclectic Ensemble.

Things I see/hear on a bike ride on the Greenway. This is a solar powered band called the Eclectic Ensemble.

i’ve never let jon drive before unless it’s really late and i’m dangerously sleepy. now he is driving and it is awesome. sometimes letting go of control is a relief (always). this is our fifth summer driving to indiana for a week with my family. we have traditional stops along the way. the next one is the first Steak ‘n Shake, which is an hour or so away in rockford, IL. we’re super excited to see our nephew and nieces. they’ll arrive at my parents’ tomorrow. i’m going to see some old friends, too.
