Crashed and burned! What you can’t see is that his seat and chain stay are completely broken. Someone else’s wheel rolled down the street before he stood in front of us (seriously, I think he posed for this shot notice the product placement). The crash was spectacular, sadly I wasn’t taking video at the time (I had staked the corner out for maximum contact). He asked his team manager for a new bike but this was only a 40 mile criterium, he was out of the race. FYI Stephiehell and I ate at Pazzaluna on our wedding night, we stayed at the St. Paul Hotel which was right behind us.
