Bikes, music, computers, comics--what else do you need?

Back to posting my LP’s. This is Graeme Revell's The Insect Musicians . This piece was done using the sampled sounds of insects and is a stark contrast to Revell’s industrial band SPK. This piece, Nocturne, uses sounds from the Indonesian Cicada, Meadow Grasshopper, Death’s Head Hawkmoth (star of Silence of the Lambs ), and African Cicada. Here is a complete list of all the insects used in The Insect Musicians.  This album is in almost new  condition and has the insert that discusses how insects make their songs, the technology and technique of (audio) poetry using waveforms. If you are interested in reading it, message me and I will send you a scanned copy of the insert. This album was released in 1986 and I purchased this album in 1987 at the downtown Minneapolis Northern Lights Records store.
